Dick Boer became CEO of Ahold in March 2011. Together with the leadership team at Ahold, he developed a six pillar strategy for growth of the company. This strategy focuses on priorities which will create and enable growth, including increasing customer loyalty, broadening the offering and geographic expansion. In February this year, Ahold announced the acquisition of Bol.com, as an important next step in its growth strategy.
