Omer finished a BA in Mathematics at the University of California at Berkeley, in 1999. He has since worked as an equity analyst with Dodge & Cox, in San Francisco, and subsequently as a tutor for the family of American psychometric tests, specifically GMAT, GRE, and SAT. Since the birth of his son, he has transitioned to early years education, and is now planning for the start of a new Elementary School for the Sciences, in Amsterdam.
