    On 1-2 February Human Rights Watch (HRW) will present in connection with de Balie and ASN Bank the first edition of the Human Rights Weekend.  A weekend full of films and debates with directors – including Dartmouth alumnus Jeremy Teicher, HRW researchers, policy makers and journalists, subjects include: What's the next step with the Arab Spring, Human Rights in the International Community, Human rights in China, Womens' rights, Israel and Palestine, Minorities insecure in their lives.

    Please join the Ivy Circle from 7- 8:30pm for a private drinks with the young director Jeremy Teicher before the screening of his film Tall as the Baobab Tree which starts at 8:30pm. Teicher graduated from Dartmouth College in 2010 and has directed several films already.

    A powerful voice from Africa’s young generation, Tall as the Baobab Tree (Grand comme le Baobab) poignantly depicts a family struggling to find its footing at the outer edge of the modern world… where questions of right and wrong are not always black and white
