“Humanitarian Assistance and the Protection of Persons in War and Disaster”

We witness every day that humanitarian emergencies due to conflict and disaster create a cycle of vulnerability that lead to social instability and chronic under-development. Effective humanitarian assistance is of the utmost importance, as are adequate preventive measures. The speakers will offer their long-term perspectives on the topic, from both a medical and legal perspective.
