Human Rights Weekend 2015 – Changemakers Speak out

    30 January to 1 February in de Balie

    Human Rights Watch presents the third edition of the Human Rights Weekend in Amsterdam, filled with human rights films and debates with directors, Human Rights Watch experts, photographers and journalists about topics such as emergencies cinemas, revolutions and repressions in the digital age, Islamic State, Libya, Front Line Journalism, Conflict & Refugees and Egypt – the forgotten revolution.

    The weekend will be opened by Sarah Leah Whitson, head of the Middle East and North Africa division of Human Rights Watch. She will explain the biggest challenges in the Middle East and North Africa for the human rights movement.

    Please join Ivy Circle alumni on Saturday 31 January from 16.30-18:30 for private drinks with Rachel Beth Anderson,  cinematographer and filmmaker of “First to Fall”.
