About The Tribute:
Rev. Harcourt Klinefelter & Lois Mothershed Pot will speak.
Rev. Klinefelter worked for Dr. King for 3 years. Lois Mothershed Pot was the first Black student in her university and the first Black president of the Christian Students Union. Her sister was one of the “Little Rock Nine.”
Jazz singers, Adrienne West and Priscilla Nokoe will sing. From Chicago, Jazz Trombonist TS Galloway will play together with Charli Green from Memphis on Trumpet and Jimmy Yarnell, Trombone. TS played with Count Basie and for Operation Bread Basket in the 60’s in Chicago. Soprano Liat Alkan will share her talent and direct a student singing group.
From the United States Embassy, Chargé d’Affaires, the Honorable Marja Verloop will share her thoughts.
