Harvard Special Event with Paul Polman

Business leader, investor, and philanthropist Mr. Paul Polman will engage in an interactive dialogue on his personal journey, how businesses align profit and purpose, and practical tips and actions we can do to seize this opportunity. During his tenure, Paul Polman brought Unilever to be ranked #1 in the world for sustainability while 3X shareholders return. Find out HOW!

Paul, co-author of the book Net Positive, will kickoff the evening himself with his views on the state of the world; the required transition; and a needed change in leadership mindset. Subsequently we will interactively address the following questions, and more:

    • What does apparent pushback and backtracking on climate & development agendas mean for the transition? How should business leaders respond?
    • How can businesses successfully integrate sustainability principles into their core strategies?
    • Many leaders talk about ‘doing good’, but face pressures to prioritize profit. How did you navigate these tensions and stay true to your vision for sustainable business?

Of course there will be ample opportunity to ask questions. Prepare for the cold calls by pre-reading the book “Net Positive: How Courageous Companies Thrive by Giving More”. We are also offering the book at discount (courtesy of Harvard Business Review) and you can receive it at the night of the event.
