Hollis Kurman

Hollis graduated summa cum laude, phi beta kappa from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) with a BA in International Relations and French; followed by an MSFS with honors in International Affairs from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (Weintal Merit Scholar). She has been Chair of the Ivy Circle Board since 2012 (having served in the IC Advisory Board). Hollis’ other Board memberships include the Fulbright Commission (Supervisory Board), Save the Children Netherlands (Board of Trustees), Barrow Street Books publishing, and Human Rights Watch (HRW NL Committee founder and current HRW Global Women’s Rights Advisory Council member). She is also a poet and children’s books author. Her début children’s book, ‘Counting Kindness: Ten Ways to Welcome Refugees’, is published in 10 countries and endorsed by Amnesty International. Her latest children’s book, ‘Counting in Green: Ten Little Ways to Help Our Big Planet’, was published in March 2023. Hollis built her career as an international advisor in growth strategy, innovation and co-creation, first with McKinsey & Co. and then as Founder and Managing Director of two international consultancies, Publicis Consultants and Auberon Consultants. She is now a writer, Board member, moderator, and human rights and education advocate. She is especially dedicated to supporting young people and women of all backgrounds.
