“My first semester as a Human Rights student at Columbia has been nothing short of phenomenal. I share classrooms with people from all over the globe; We are all shaped by different histories, nations and backgrounds, which makes everybody unique in their perspectives. We all share the same passion, though, and it is beyond rewarding and humbling to be able to explore issues such as gender justice, human rights, activism and global politics with such a diverse and driven group of people. While I cannot deny that the program is -as I had been warned- indeed a lot of work, the famous NYC-energy makes it more than bearable.
